Compliance officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About the position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To initiate, implement and liaison with the respective functional heads, manage the risk and compliance initiatives for GA Uganda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Develops and monitors risk registers for all departments and also performs risk assessments for new products and vendors.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Prepares risk register reports and analysis for review by the manager.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Monitor, and as necessary, coordinate risk and compliance activities through respective departments to ensure GA remain abreast of the status of all insurance related risks &amp; compliance activities.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Follow up of any identified deficiencies and make recommendations for amendment.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Implement the risks and compliance policies and procedures in place.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Provide reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, and as directed or requested.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Provide relevant information required by external bodies and regulators on compliance matters such as reporting suspicious transactions related to money laundering and the fight against terrorism financing.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Monitor the performance of the compliance program and related activities on a continuous basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Implementing an effective risk training program as will be developed.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Keep abreast with the applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards in the risk &amp; compliance fraternity and advise on the emerging developments of the same<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Team participation both within the department and other departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Bachelors Degree in Business is a requirement<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0CPA II is an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a02-3 years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-8151","jobs","type-jobs","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v15.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"The Risk &amp;
