Nikhil holds a formidable skills set, particularly in tax advisory work and tax dispute resolution, honed in East Africa, India, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. With a strong and varied professional experience with three of the big 4 accounting firms, where he was a partner in one of them, he also developed a Tax Practice in East Africa which was regarded as the practice of choice by clients and non-clients. He also spent 7 years in a manufacturing business in India. He is a chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Certified Public Accountant of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Kenya, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Uganda and the National Board of Accountants and Auditors in Tanzania. He is also a former council member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Kenya and he also sat on the Tax & Public Finance and the Professional Standards Committees. Nikhil has a BSc with joint Honours in Accountancy and Process Engineering from the University of Salford, Manchester, England. Nikhil is also a well-known presenter and commentator on tax and economic issues in East Africa.
