Business Development Manager
About the position
With the tremendous support garnered from the Uganda broking fraternity, we seek to beef up service delivery and engagement by hiring a substantive Business Development Manager for the broking distribution channel. The incumbent will also lead our engagements with banks on bancassurance. The incumbent will be reporting to the General Manager.
Key Duties, Deliverables and Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain close relationships with our partner brokers through constant engagement and response to inquiries
• Ensure that all broker requirements are attended to timeously
• Work with brokers in development of bespoke insurance solutions to match the emerging needs of customers
• Responsible for driving delivery of broking and bancassurance channel revenue budgets
• Establish and maintain close business relationships with all our partner banks while opening up new opportunities for collaboration
• Receive and ensure timely resolution of all issues that may be raised by brokers in their engagements with The Company
• Support premium collection and Credit Management for all broking and bancassurance business placed with The Company
• Represent the company at broking fraternity events and build rapport with leading players in the broking space
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or any other related field
• Professional Insurance Qualification is an added advantage
• Proven interpersonal, social and communication skills
• High Level of Personal and Professional Integrity
• Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision
• Passionate about service and self-motivated for success
• At least Five (3) years of relevant working experience
